Switchboard maintenance
Maintenance of distribution, control and protection boards and MCC cabinets, with cleaning, re-torque, thermography and testing.
Boards and MCC cabinets are where most loose-connection failures begin. We maintain them with cleaning, correct re-torque, insulator and interlock checks, thermography and contact-resistance testing.
A switchboard concentrates connections, busbars and protective devices in a confined space, so a loose or oxidized connection quickly becomes a hot spot and an arcing risk. Preventive maintenance keeps those points under control.
Our scope includes cleaning, re-torque with correct values, inspection of insulators and busbars, verification of mechanical interlocks and grounding, and thermography to locate hot connections before they fail.
For control and protection boards we add functional checks of relays and instrument transformers, closing with a documented protocol.

Frequently asked questions — switchboard maintenance
Why do switchboards fail?
Most failures start at loose or oxidized connections that overheat. Periodic re-torque and thermography are the most effective prevention.
How often should a board be maintained?
At least annually, more often in critical or heavily loaded installations. Thermography in service can be done more frequently without an outage.
What does the maintenance include?
Cleaning, re-torque, insulator and interlock inspection, grounding verification, thermography and contact-resistance testing, with a documented protocol.
Do you service MCC cabinets?
Yes, motor control center cabinets are part of our switchboard maintenance scope.
